Anthony Hernadez

Anthony Hernadez is a photographer who has done various projects on urban environments and areas. Aliso Village is a series of photographs where Hernadez revisited the housing development where he had grown up. His photographs were taken after all the residents had left, before the buildings were to be knocked down.
i like the fact that these photographs carry a story behind them, for example the plaster coming away in the picture above revealing traces of what was previously on the walls and leaving a sense of curiosity as to why it was painted so colourfully.
i find this photo interesting for the same reasons, all these engraving were done by people who have passed though the space and now moved on leaving these behind.
